Journalist and TV presenter Kokutekeleza Musebeni’s THE THOUGHTS OF OUR ANCESTORS is set in a utopian future free of wars, hier­archies and discrimination where a young Black woman must decide whether to inherit or erase the trauma of her ancestors.

The Afrofuturistic hybrid, which mixes documentary with fiction, is Musebeni’s third film after the the multi-award- winning hybrid short THE DOOR OF RETURN and short documentary STRONG HAIR.
